Comparing with malignant lesions or peptic ulcers benign gastric tumors are rare. From 916 patients with gastric diseases, who underwent laparatomy between 1980 and 1993 in the Surgical Department at the University of Cologne, we found only 15 cases (1.6%) of benign gastric tumors. In this retrospective study, we examine the efficiency of cyclocryocoagulation in eyes with secondary and congenital glaucoma. We studied 137 eyes with advanced, inadequately controlled glaucoma, which were operated from 1984 to 1993. Besides the intraocular pressure (IOP), we assessed the effect on the visual acuity and the optic nerve. We also compared the efficiency of two different cryomethods (CO2/N2 cyclocryocoagulation). Fractures of the lateral clavicle have different biomechanical conditions compared with fractures of the medial and central third; they therefore demand different therapy. Some 237 patients with fractures of the clavicle were followed, of which 75 (33%) were located in the lateral third of the clavicle.
