Specific DNA delivery has been achieved via interactions between an asialoorosomucoid-polylysine conjugate and the asialoglycoprotein receptor. Hairy-cell leukemia (HCL) is a B-cell leukemia, but many factors argue for a T-cell dysfunction and/or involvement in this disease. Mice are resistant to the establishment of infection with the nematode parasite Brugia malayi, an etiologic agent of human lymphatic filariasis. Low stringency screening of a Jurkat cDNA library with a rat brain K+ channel (RCK1) probe has resulted in the isolation of HLK3, a voltage-gated K+ channel.
