OBJECTIVES: Aquaporin 4-immunoglobulin G-seropositive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (AQP4+NMOSD) and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) are rare conditions with evolving diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. PURPOSE: A hydatid cyst is a parasitic illness that is caused by the larvae of Echinococcus granulosus. Hydatid cysts occur in the liver in 75% and in the lungs in 15% of cases. Central nervous system involvement is rare (perhaps as low as 1%), and the majority of such cases are observed in children. Headache and vomiting are the most frequently observed symptoms.
