BACKGROUND: Several complications from ERCP have been described, including pancreatitis, hemorrhage, perforation, and cholangitis. The actual incidences and risk factors in Thailand have never been analyzed.
MATERIAL AND METHOD: The authors retrospectively reviewed the outcome of ERCP at Chulalongkorn University Hospital between September 2000 and December 2002. Potential risk factors were statistically assessed.

We report our experiences with penile disassembly technique in the treatment of severe hypospadias. During a period from November 1995 to December 1997 the technique was applied to 102 patients, aged from 9 months to 32 years. The principle of the technique involves separation of the penis into its component parts: glans cap with neurovascular bundle (dorsally) together with undivided or divided urethra and urethral plate (ventrally), and corpora cavernosa. This report presents six cases (among 43 surgical cases) of left ventricular EMF presenting as pure mitral insufficiency without any echocardiographic or hemodynamic signs of left ventricular EMF (except apical diverticulum in two cases).
