Hemophilia patients sometimes need careful treatment of urgent serious bleedings and management of some surgeries. Development of inhibitor has some impact on the management of these situations. Here a case of patient of hemophilia A is presented in whom urological surgery resulted in inhibitor development and a second operation with bypass agent.

OBJECTIVES: To determine the urological consequences of incomplete cord lesions in patients with myelomeningocele and a neuropathic bladder.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: From a total of 407 patients with myelomeningocele and a neuropathic bladder, 31 (8%) were identified as having a combination of sacral sensory or motor sparing and positive conus reflexes. BACKGROUND: Urinary tract reconstruction is required in many congenital and some acquired urological conditions in childhood. The majority are managed by clean intermittent catheterization (CIC), for which purpose the appendix or other tubular structure may be used to provide a continent catheterizable abdominal stoma.

One hundred and thirteen cases of spina bifida treated with clean intermittent catheterization (CIC) were reviewed. There were 42 males and 71 females, ranging from 4 months to 50 years. The major reasons for CIC from other voiding methods were vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) (48/113) old, and residual urine (36/113). The most common type of neurogenic bladder was hypoactive detrusor-active sphincter, in 56.6% of patients (64/113). Renal sonograms of 260 children were compared with the corresponding excretory urograms. Since each kidney was evaluated separately 520 sonographic and urographic findings could be compared. The study is based on single investigations only, serial investigations were not included. 326 kidneys could be classified as being normal, primarily on the basis of the urogram. Thirty-two children who had undergone previous urinary diversion were operated upon to refunctionalize the bladder. In 24 the diversion had been considered permanent, and in eight, temporary.
