OBJECTIVE: The aim of study was to demonstrate that transcutaneous intralesional injection of Triamcinolone Acetonide (TA) under fibrolaryngoscopy could be an option for persistent granulation after Transoral Laser Microsurgery (TLM) in glottic cancer patients.
METHODS: We recruited 32 patients, who had conservative treatment but failed. 20 patients accepted TA injection monthly until the granulation disappeared or did not shrink further. 12 patients chose to closely monitor.

Transoral laser microsurgery represents the primary surgical modality for early laryngeal cancers with oncologic outcomes equivalent to radiotherapy. PURPOSE OF REVIEW: There is an ever-growing body of research regarding intraocular lens (IOL) power calculations following photorefractive keratectomy (PRK), laser-assisted in-situ keratomileusis (LASIK), and small-incision lenticule extraction (SMILE). In order to implement individual instrument traceability, the evolution of laser and micropercussion markings was evaluated over 250 sterilisation cycles. A datamatrix associated with its alphanumeric code was applied on three types of instruments by laser or micropercussion. All instruments had a unique identifier affixed by the manufacturer. BACKGROUND: To investigate the diagnostic sensitivity of Optos imaging for vision degrading myodesopsia (VDM).
METHODS: A total of 420 eyes from 345 patients with VDM were collected in this cross-sectional study. All eyes were classified as having posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) or not having PVD. OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate the feasibility of transoral resection of, even large, combined laryngoceles by endoscopic CO2 laser resection using the inversion technique.
METHODS: A retrospective study over a 25-year period of 20 patients with 22 combined laryngoceles. All patients were operated on using the CO2 laser inversion technique. Pre- and postoperative computed tomography (CT)-scans or magnetic resonance (MR) imaging were available in all patients.

INTRODUCTION: Laser lead extraction is a well-established method for removing unwanted leads with low morbidity and mortality. In this small series of cases, we documented our experience with venous thrombosis after laser lead extraction.
