We report a case of a 65-year-old black man with combined Hodgkin lymphoma and T-cell lymphoma. The patient presented with diffuse lymphadenopathy, fever, weight loss, and night sweats. Subsequent biopsy of an axillary lymph node revealed a composite lymphoma composed of classic Hodgkin lymphoma and a peripheral T-cell lymphoma. A needle biopsy of the liver also showed involvement by the composite lymphoma. In situ hybridization studies revealed positive Epstein-Barr virus in Reed-Sternberg cells. Malignant lateral cervical cysts can be related to metastatic tumors or rarely to primary thyroid carcinoma arising in branchial cleft cysts. BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE: The idea of double primary lung cancer (DPLC) has been generally accepted. Recently, an increasing incidence of synchronous DPLC has been reported, while the diagnostic standard and treatment strategies remain to be improved. This study was to investigate effective surgical treatment, and prognosis of synchronous DPLC.
METHODS: From Jan. 1983 to Apr. 2004, 31 patients with synchronous DPLC were operated in our department. Clinical data, such as surgical pattern, postoperative complication, and survival status, of all these patients were reviewed retrospectively.

We report three cases of endometrioid adenocarcinoma of the prostate. Case 1: A 71-year-old male was admitted with a complaint of micturition pain. Serum prostatic specific antigen (PSA) was 12 ng/ml. Radical prostatectomy following needle biopsy was performed in May 1998. A chromosome 12-derived marker was seen in each of 3 testicular germ cell tumors that lacked the i(12p). An interesting feature of 2 of the markers was that the major part, including the centromere, of an acrocentric (a #13 and #14, respectively) was translocated onto 12p, resulting in a dicentric. In the third tumor, 13q (translocated onto 12q) was again probably involved in the rearrangement. The findings support the view that the amplification of genes on 12p represents a significant step in the development of germ cell tumors.

Recombinant interferon alpha (r IFN alpha) has shown significant antitumor activity in patients with follicular small cleaved cell (low-grade non-Hodgkin's lymphomas) and cutaneous T-cell lymphomas. However, IFN alpha seems to be less effective in patients with intermediate or high-grade lymphomas. The Tokyo Dental College Oral Cancer Center was established on April 1st, 2006 at our Ichikawa General Hospital for the purpose of providing multimodal treatment for oral cancer. PURPOSE: MR mammography (MRM) is a sensitive diagnostic method for the detection of mammary carcinomas. The present study evaluates whether MRM can yield additional relevant data in cases of histologically confirmed mammary carcinoma.
METHOD: Thirty-four patients with histologically confirmed mammary carcinoma were examined at MRM using a T1-weighted GE sequence and a T2-weighted SE sequence. Morphologic criteria and the dynamic contrast medium behavior of the tumors were evaluated.
