The acute pediatric scrotum is a common clinical condition that can present a diagnostic dilemma for even the most experienced physician. The issue of primary importance in each case is to ensure testicular viability through proper evaluation, prompt diagnosis, and surgical intervention if necessary. A review of the various etiologies of acute scrotal disorders in children aids in the formulation of a logical and systematic approach to their accurate diagnosis and management.

A prospective study was undertaken to compare magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with computed tomography (CT) and examination under anesthesia (EUA) in staging cervical carcinoma, with special emphasis on parametrial status. Bad breath, halitosis, is an unpleasant problem most people try to avoid. Physicians seem particularly adept at avoiding halitosis by referring patients with this problem to a dentist. However, halitosis may be a symptom of a serious disease. Even if a serious disorder is not present, the cause of bad breath can usually be determined and appropriate therapy given.
