The aim of this study was to clarify risk factors for esophageal candidiasis (EC) in immunocompetent patients in a community hospital. 7736 patients who underwent esophagogastroduodenoscopy at our hospital from April 2012 to July 2018 were enrolled. BACKGROUND: Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) represents a major cause of hospitalization, especially among young children. In the third world countries, information about CAP etiology is scarce. Therefore, rapid and highly sensitive diagnostic methods are crucial to determine etiologic agents.
