Background: Pancreatic duct (PD) stricture is a common adverse event in chronic pancreatitis (CP). Primary treatment for refractory PD strictures is endotherapy (ET), including the insertion of multiple plastic stents. PURPOSE: The purpose of the study is to determine the safety and efficacy of corneal collagen cross-linking for keratoconus in pediatric patients with and without vernal keratoconjunctivitis (VKC).
METHODS: This is a retrospective analysis of 89 eyes of 58 patients <18 years of age that underwent corneal collagen cross-linking for progressive keratoconus; inclusion criteria included a minimum of 2-year follow-up after cross-linking. The main outcomes measures included keratometry, pachymetry, vision, and complications following epithelial-off cross-linking with the Dresden protocol.

BACKGROUND: Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) formation is associated with by inflammation and matrix degradation. This study tested the hypothesis that calprotectin, a novel biomarker for inflammation, as well as established biomarkers such as C-reactive protein (CRP) and matrix metalloproteinase- 9 (MMP-9) could also be indicative inflammatory biomarkers during AAA pathogenesis and progression. BACKGROUND: To report a first case of lenticule addition and corneal cross-linking for post-LASIK ectasia with associated corneal thinning.
CASE PRESENTATION: Lenticule addition followed by corneal cross-linking was performed on the left eye of a patient with post-LASIK ectasia. Postoperatively, the corneal power and elevation were stable with a remarkable improvement in corneal thickness, and the lenticule had merged with the adjacent corneal stroma at 30 months follow-up. The patient's corrected distance visual acuity gained two lines.
CONCLUSIONS: This case provides a potential treatment

A sinus of Valsalva aneurysm is defined as a dilatation of the aortic sinuses, between the aortic valve annulus and the sinotubular junction. They are rare and most frequently involve the right coronary sinus. We report a case of an unruptured giant sinus of Valsalva aneurysm in a patient associated with ectasia of the left main stem and left anterior descending coronary artery. The patient was successfully treated with aortic root replacement using a biologic conduit.
