We report a case of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) with acute renal failure. A 62-year-old man was admitted to our hospital on March 8, 2002 with leg edema and dyspnea on effort. About 3 weeks before admission, he was found to have slightly high serum creatinine (Cr) and high lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) levels by another home doctor. The treatment of chronic skin ulcers with exposed bone in the lower extremity is difficult. The development of topical negative pressure (TNP) technology and microsurgical techniques have achieved good clinical results in the repair of such ulcers. Between January 2007 and March 2012, TNP combined with flap transfer was applied to repair lower-limb skin and soft-tissue defects associated with exposed bone in 22 cases at our hospital, and good results were achieved that are reported herein.

INTRODUCTION: Development of secondary hyperalgesia following a cutaneous injury is a centrally mediated, robust phenomenon. The pathophysiological role of endogenous opioid signalling to the development of hyperalgesia is unclear. Recent animal studies, carried out after the resolution of inflammatory pain, have demonstrated reinstatement of tactile hypersensitivity following administration of μ-opioid-receptor-antagonists. In the present study in humans, we analyzed the effect of naloxone when given after the resolution of secondary hyperalgesia following a first-degree burn injury.

Comparative analysis of the treatment results in 52 patients, suffering deep defects of the coverage tissues of extremities, was done, basing on applying of flaps with temporary and constant nutrent pedicle. The extremity functional state and the patient's quality of life were determined, using SF-36 and EUROQOL-5D questionnaire. The method of plasty, using the flap on a constant nutrient pedicle, have appeared the optimal one for closure of defects in the coverage tissues of the extremities.

The purpose of the present report is to evaluate the outcome of subacute and delayed period microsurgical reconstructions of traumatic extremity defects of the pediatric patients. Eighteen free tissue transfers had been performed in 18 patients. Patients ranged in age from 5 to 17 years of age and had a median age of 12.05 years.
