It is present in children and adults, including those with darker skin pigmentation. Chronic lesions are hyperpigmented plaques that are dry, cracked, and/or scaly often with lichenification. Differential diagnoses include psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, ichthyosis, and pityriasis rosea.
