Children are uniquely susceptible to craniofacial trauma. Injuries to the teeth occur often as a result of falls and sport activities. The pulp often gets infected after dental trauma resulting in to numerous complications. Stress fracture of the femoral component is a rare complication following total knee arthroplasty. We report one such complication which occurred 6.5 years after primary implantation of an uncemented meniscal Low Contact Stress (LCS) prosthesis. This study examined long-term survivorship of primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) using cementless Harris-Galante porous femoral and Harris-Galante porous I or II acetabular components. Of 113 hips (101 patients) studied, 60 hips (53 patients) were available for follow-up at a mean of 17.2 years after surgery.
