A 61-year-old diabetic male developed weakness of both lower limbs while walking, 1 month go. When he was examined in hospital a hour later, it was found that he had total absence of movements in both legs, sensory loss of all modalities till umbilicus and had urinary retention. Vesicouterine fistula (VUF) is a rare complication of cesarean section. We present two cases of VUF that were successfully managed by transperitoneal surgical repair. The first case presented with the Youssef classical triad: cyclical hematuria (menouria), amenorrhea and urinary continence, while the second case presented with total urinary incontinence with normal menstruation. We report a case of acute bronchopneumonia and esophagotracheal fistula caused by a swallowed button battery in a 3-year-old girl. It was unclear exactly how long the battery had been trapped in the esophagus. HISTORY AND CLINICAL FINDINGS: A 72-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital with upper abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and obstipation.
INVESTIGATIONS: Percutaneous ultrasound found aerobilia, a biliary-digestive fistula, and an ileus with gallstones within the small bowel. The findings were confirmed at computed tomography.

Coronary arteriovenous fistula (CAVF) is a rare congenital anomaly that is seen in 0.1-0.2% of coronary angiograms. A 79-year-old man with no risk factors for coronary artery disease, presented with unstable angina and normal clinical examination. During the past few decades, there have been significant advances in the understanding of spinal vascular lesions, mainly because of the evolution of imaging technology and selective spinal angiography techniques. BACKGROUND: Rectal and anal fistulae are frequently missed diagnoses. Symptoms of fistula-in-ano may mimic other chronic vulvar conditions.
CASES: Three patients presented with chronic symptoms including nonhealing ulcer, pruritus, dyspareunia, and discharge for 6-18 months. High clinical suspicion and rectal examination with concomitant perineal probing was useful in making a diagnosis. Once the diagnosis of fistula-in-ano was made, surgical correction was successful.

Esophageal atresia and tracheoesophageal fistula (EA/TEF) are major congenital malformations affecting 1:3500 live births. Current research efforts are focused on understanding the etiology of these defects. We describe well-known animal models, human syndromes, and associations involving EA/TEF, indicating its etiologically heterogeneous nature. Recent advances in genotyping technology and in knowledge of human genetic variation will improve clinical counseling on etiologic factors. This review provides a clinical summary of environmental and genetic factors involved in EA/TEF.

INTRODUCTION: We report a case of a vesico-vaginal fistula (VVF) post cold cup biopsy; to our knowledge this is the only reported case. We present the clinical history/presentation, investigation and the outcome of the treatment. VVFs are among the most distressing complications of gynecologic and obstetric procedures. AIM: The aim of this work was to report on our experience with the laparoscopic repair of vesicovaginal fistulae and describe a modification in technique.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Between 2004 and 2008, 8 patients underwent laparoscopic repair of vesicovaginal fistula. All patients had fistulae secondary to gynecologic surgery.
