PURPOSE: To report age-related variations in corneal stress-strain index (SSI) in healthy Indians.
METHODS: It was a retrospective study where healthy Indian individuals aged between 11 and 70 years who had undergone corneal biomechanics assessment using Corvis ST between January 2017 and December 2021 were enrolled. Composite corneal biomechanical parameters and corneal SSI were abstracted from Corvis ST and compared across different age groups using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Also, Pearson's correlation was used to evaluate the association between age and SSI.

Kinetics of peroxide chemiluminescence (PCL) of blood plasm was studied in 145 patients aged 17-55 years (108 cases of duodenal and 37 cases of gastric ulcer) and 92 healthy controls. Three types of plasm chemiluminescent curves were identified in healthy subjects and ulcer patients: stable, ascending and descending. Age and sex distributions of monoclonal gammopathy were studied for 12,196 healthy controls and 2056 patients with various malignancies. The frequency of monoclonal component in adult T-cell leukemia (ATL) patients was found to be much higher than that in patients with other malignancies and in healthy controls. This suggested that the occurrence of ATL and monoclonal gammopathy is not coincidental. Three cases of ATL with monoclonal gammopathy are also reported.

PURPOSE: To evaluate retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness in migraine patients with unilateral headache.
