Melanoma has an important metastatic potential and its incidence is greatly increasing. Even after many years of negative follow-up, gynecologists should be aware that a gynecological tumor might be a secondary location for a woman with a medical history of melanoma. Because of a poor prognosis and a reduced life expectancy, it is necessary to make a disease staging in order to offer a prompt diagnosis and a personalized strategy of treatment. Considering the increasing incidence of melanoma, gynecologists will face more frequently with this situation.

We present a rare case of duodenal metastasis from invasive breast lobular carcinoma, which first presented clinically as elevated serum tumor marker levels, followed by jaundice but with no other clinical evidence of recurrence and metastasis. A 53-year-old woman underwent modified radical mastectomy of the left breast (pT2 N3 M0 stage III c) followed by postoperative chemo-radiotherapy and hormonal therapy. BACKGROUND: Intraorbital metastases of breast cancer is rare with only 3-10% of all ocular metastases. We report a case of orbital metastases as first sign of systemic metastatic spread in a female patient with breast cancer.

Despite the monumental success of childhood prophylactic vaccination, there is no similar program designed to provide protection as we age against adult onset diseases like breast cancer. The examination of limited, potentially non-representative fragments of tumour tissue from a core biopsy can be misleading and misdirect subsequent treatment, especially in cases where a primary tumour has not been identified. This case report is of a 65-year-old woman presenting with a destructive sacral mass, diagnosed on radiological imaging and core biopsy as a hindgut neuroendocrine tumour, which on histopathological review of the subsequently resected tumour was found instead to represent a metastasis from an occult hormone-positive breast cancer with neuroendocrine features.

INTRODUCTION: Fallopian tube carcinoma is a rare gynecological tumor and simultaneous pericardial and breast metastasis of this cancer is an extremely exceptional event.
CASE: A 46-year-old woman with FIGO Stage IIIc, grade 3 adenocarcinoma of the fallopian tube received cyclophosphamide and carboplatin subsequent to surgery. The disease had been completely silent for 41 months and then it relapsed with pericardial and breast metastasis consecutively. She expired one year after the relapse.

The association between dermatomyositis (DM) and various types of malignancies has been reported in several studies, with an estimated frequency of about 20-25%. Cancer may appear before the onset of DM, concurrently with DM or after its onset. In the present report, the occurrence of typical DM in concomitance with development of skin metastases from previously treated breast cancer is described, suggesting the role of DM as paraneoplastic marker not only in association with the primary tumor but also in case of cutaneous involvement by cancer.

The diagnosis of the lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS), whose frequency is estimated to range from 0.8 to 3.8 p. cent of breast cancers on the whole, is exclusively anatomopathological since it does not have any specific clinical and/or radiological characteristics. After describing the two main differential diagnoses, the various possible treatments are studied, bearing in mind that the therapeutic strategy must take into account the three characteristics which are typical of LCIS: multicentricity, bilaterality and the possible occurrence of an invasive cancer.

Patients treated with conservative surgery and radiotherapy for early-stage breast carcinoma are at risk of developing an ipsilateral breast recurrence for a long period.
