A 12-year-old spayed female Maine Coon cat was diagnosed with cervical T-cell-rich B-cell lymphoma. During modified L-CHOP-based chemotherapy, the cat developed progressive upper airway obstruction associated with a laryngeal lesion. Initial CT suggested contiguous laryngeal involvement, and follow-up imaging revealed severe laryngeal narrowing. High upfront cost may be a barrier to adopting chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy for relapsed or refractory B-cell lymphoma. Data on the real-world costs are limited. Primary cutaneous posttransplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLD) are rare. This retrospective, multicenter study of 35 cases aimed to better describe this entity. Cases were (re)-classified according to the WHO-EORTC or the WHO 2008 classifications of lymphomas. Median interval between first transplantation and diagnosis was 85 months. BACKGROUND: This study aims to improve the understanding of lymphoma-associated hemophagocytic syndrome, and find effective methods to identify and manage this fatal disease.
METHODS: Patients diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma-associated hemophagocytic syndrome from January 2008 to December 2022 in our center were included. Univariate and multivariate analyses were also conducted using the Cox proportional hazards model.
