Here we report 2 cases of curative resection following preoperative chemotherapy with bevacizumab for locally advanced colon cancer. Case 1 was a 62-year-old man admitted with constipation, abdominal distention, and abdominal pain. An abdominal computed tomography(CT)scan revealed an obstructive tumor of the sigmoid colon with invasion into the bladder. A diverting colostomy was performed, and chemotherapy with mFOLFOX6(infusional 5-fluorouracil/Leucovorin+ oxaliplatin) plus bevacizumab was initiated. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the expression of SOX2 in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and cervical cancer and explore its association with the clinical features.
METHODS: SOX2 expressions were examined using immunohistochemical method in 10 normal cervical tissue specimens, 36 cervical intraepithelial neoplasia specimens (including 10 cases of grade I, 12 of grade II, and 14 grade III) and 40 cervical cancer specimens (including 21 cases of stage I and 19 of stage II). The correlation between the immunohistochemical results and the clinical features of the patients was analyzed.

We report the first documented case of ovarian metastasis from a jejunal primary adenocarcinoma in an Australian patient. The presentation was unusual, initially a suspicious abdominal nodule in the epigastric area, which turned out to be an adenocarcinoma of possible intestinal origin. Gastroscopy and colonoscopy were performed with no suspicious lesion identified. Abdominal and pelvic ultrasound imaging showed a complex pelvic mass suspicious of ovarian cancer. Among non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLC), large cell carcinoma (LCC) is credited of significant adverse prognosis. The aim of this study was to determine the impact of prognostic factors in primary fallopian tube carcinoma (PFTC). All cases of PFTC diagnosed between 1990 and 2010 were retrieved from the files of 6 academic centers. INTRODUCTION: To assess the prognostic value of lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI) in epithelial ovarian carcinoma.
METHODS: We reexamined single representative hematoxylin and eosin-stained sections of 66 patients with epithelial ovarian carcinoma to identify LVSI. A 4-grade system was used to classify LVSI: absent (no LVSI), mild (1-2 foci of LVSI), moderate (3-8 foci of LVSI), and severe (≥9 foci of LVSI).
