BACKGROUND: Midwives and perinatal nurses play a crucial role in responding to intimate partner violence (IPV) against pregnant women; however, these roles are often not performed adequately. This study aimed to identify provider-related, healthcare system, and social barriers and facilitators to IPV response from the perspective of midwives and perinatal nurses.
METHODS: This qualitative descriptive study used semi-structured interviews with five midwives and a nurse from perinatal care facilities in Tokyo, Japan. A framework approach was employed to analyze the interview transcripts.

OBJECTIVES: Green Care Farms (GCFs) are gaining attention as innovative dementia care environment. Compared with regular nursing homes, first studies suggested a more active daily life, more social interaction and a higher quality of life of GCF residents. PURPOSE: This study examined the literature concerning the burdens of parents of preschool-aged children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus.
METHODS: We employed an integrative review methodology based on Whittemore and Knafl's framework. The literature search was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines across four electronic databases: PubMed, Web of Science, the Cumulative Index to Nursing Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), and PsycINFO. Ultimately, 18 articles were included in the review.

OBJECTIVES: In May 2018, St. Paul's Hospital (SPH) in Vancouver (Canada) opened an outdoor peer-led overdose prevention site (OPS) operated in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health and RainCity Housing. At the end of 2020, the partnered OPS moved to a new location, which created a gap in service for SPH inpatients and outpatients. To address this gap, which was magnified by the COVID-19 pandemic, SPH opened a nurse-led OPS in February 2021. This paper describes the steps leading to the implementation of the nurse-led OPS, its impact, and lessons learned.
