Bilateral cleft lip and palate repair usually requires secondary corrective intentions. Abbe flap is a useful option and has many modifications for revision surgeries of cleft lip nose deformities. Eighty five clinical observations of the authors have shown autotransplants demineralized in the solution of hydrochloric acid to possess pronounced osteoinductive properties. Their ability to induce osteogenesis was mostly pronounced in simultaneous plasty with a demineralized and frozen bone. Reconstructive processes are perfectly completed within 18-24 months after operation.

Brachymetatarsia consists of a shortened metatarsal resulting in a shorter toe. Pain with shoe wear and cosmetic concerns are the main reasons for surgical intervention. Twelve metacarpals and two phalanges in 14 patients (nine males and five females) were lengthened between August 1992 and March 1999 by the callus distraction technique using a small external fixator (Orthofix). Congenital digiti quinti varus is a deformity in which the fifth toe overlaps the base of the fourth; it consists of three main components: adduction, dorsiflexion, and external rotation.
