One hundred twenty patients with metastatic malignant melanoma were randomized to receive either cyclophosphamide, 600 mg/m2 IV, on day 1 plus DTIC 200 mg/m2 IV days 1 through 5, or the same chemotherapy plus C. parvum 5 mg/m2 IV on day 8 and day 15. With increasing reports about Corynebacteritum straitum, its role as an emerging human pathogen is been recognized. However, few studies have explored the genomic epidemiology of C. straitum in China.
