The aim of this work was to report two cases of hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES). FIP1L1-PDGFRA fusion was assessed with two protocols at RNA level. Imatinib mesylate (IM), nilotinib and dasatinib are tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) that have revolutionized the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Data regarding the effect of TKIs on the kidney or their safety in patients with renal failure is lacking. HIV infection predisposes to cancer during childhood. Pemphigus vulgaris (PV) is an autoimmune blistering skin condition primarily treated with immunosuppressive agents. We describe a case of PV successfully treated with nonconventional treatment, bromocriptine mesylate. Bromocriptine has been used in human trials showing beneficial therapeutic effects in managing autoimmune conditions. The results from experimental trials and the low toxicity of bromocriptine in comparison with immunosuppressive agents form a solid rationale for investigating its role in controlling PV.
