A child with epidermal nevus, systematized, is reported in which diffuse areas of pruritic and bleeding tissue were treated by partial-thickness skin excision, a technique reported to have been successful in other forms of benign dyskeratosis, such as psoriasis. At age 5 years, a test region of the anterior thigh was treated and remained disease free with an acceptable scar. At age 8 years, this technique was applied to the back, buttock, calf, and thigh. While the areas remain disease free, they have, unfortunately, healed with hypertrophic and keloid scars.

An 11-year-old girl with Turner's syndrome developed a combined nevus on the back. The examination of the excised specimen revealed the combination of common compound nevus and a component of Spitz's nevus. Numerous melanocytic nevi are a feature of Turner's syndrome, but this appears to be the first case of a combined nevus with Spitz's component.

A 3-month-old white male with linear nevus sebaceous syndrome (LNSS), facial deformities, brain malformations, and cortical blindness is presented. Facial deformities included left ear hypertrophy and a left-sided hamartomatous neck mass. We report the case of a 30-year-old female patient with non-von Recklinghausen's neurofibromatosis. In our opinion it does not fit within a system of classification recently described. Clinically, the abnormality resembled a giant pigmented nevus; however, light- and electron microscopy findings were consistent with those of a neurofibroma. Nevus cell aggregates occurring in association with axillary lymph nodes can be difficult to recognize and differentiate from a metastatic breast carcinoma. We believe S100-protein immunoreactivity, along with negative staining for keratin and epithelial membrane antigen, and typical geographic distribution of nevus cell aggregates in lymph nodes are helpful in providing an accurate diagnosis.

A 15-year-old African-American man (Fitzpatrick skin type V) presented to the outpatient dermatology clinic with a large, verrucous, exophytic mass measuring 3.5 × 2.3 cm on the right lateral side of the posterior flank (Figure 1). The lesion had been increasing in size for several years. His mother had refused a shave excision when he was 9 years old.
