AIMS: Cadherin 17 (CDH17) is expressed primarily in normal intestinal epithelium and digestive tract tumours, and has limited expression in other neoplasms. Primary colorectal lymphomas are rare tumors that comprise 0.5 to 2% of large bowel malignancies and 10 to 20% of gastrointestinal lymphomas. PURPOSE: Chronic blood cancers are incurable, and characterised by unpredictable, remitting-relapsing pathways. Management often involves periods of observation prior to treatment (if required), and post-treatment, in an approach known as 'Watch and Wait'. This study aimed to describe the burden, recent trends and lifetime risks in the incidence and mortality of digestive tract cancers in an urban district of Shanghai, China. This manuscript presents only the fifth reported case in the literature of colorectal carcinoma with metastasis to the parotid gland. A 66-year-old white woman, referred to Roswell Park Memorial Institute, presented with a left parotid mass and a past history of undergoing right hemicolectomy for an adenocarcinoma of the ascending colon with synchronous liver metastases. The clinical presentation and treatment of the patient are discussed with a review of the literature.
