Arthroscopic osteochondral autograft transplantation is often used to treat chondral/osteochondral lesions of the femoral condyle of the knee. However, arthroscopic autologous osteochondral grafting to the tibial plateau has not been reported. OBJECTIVE: This study examines the factors associated with long-term disease-specific survival (DSS) and complications after radiotherapy (RT) for recurrent or persistent ovarian and tubal cancer.
METHODS/MATERIALS: Between 1980 and 2015, 65 women with ovarian (57), tubal (3), or co-existent ovarian/endometrial carcinoma (5) received RT (>45 Gy) with curative intent for recurrent (45) or persistent cancer (20) found at second-look surgery. BACKGROUND: Liver transplantation (LT) after severe polytrauma is exceptionally rare. When damage-control surgery fails, multiorgan resection may be required as a life-saving procedure, with emergency LT representing the ultimate salvage option for patients with uncontrollable hepatic hemorrhage or irreversible liver failure. BACKGROUND: Heterogenous nomenclature describing appendiceal neoplasms has added to uncertainty around their appropriate treatment. Although a recent consensus has established the term low-grade appendiceal neoplasm (LAMN), we hypothesize that significant variation remains in the treatment of LAMNs.
