BACKGROUND: Diaphragmatic flutter (DF) is a rare condition characterized by involuntary contractions of the diaphragmatic muscle, often accompanied by accessory respiratory muscle contractions. Symptoms can include epigastric pulsations, abdominal pain, and reflux. Diagnosis is challenging, and treatment is based on individual cases. This study presents the first case series of DF assessed using high-resolution esophageal manometry (HREM), electromyography (EMG), and plethysmography belts, and the symptomatic improvement through biofeedback therapy.

Non-cardiac chest pain (NCCP) is a frequent clinical problem that often mandates intensive investigations for the exclusion of cardiac etiology. OBJECTIVE: Amputations in work accidents are a phenomenon with a high incidence and peculiar characteristics. The few studies about the effects of amputation are referred to large limbs, and show that, beyond the physical consequences, there are important psychological consequences. The goal of this paper was to show the updated knowledge on the main psychopathological consequences of amputations in work accidents, as well as the variables that can modulate them.
METHODS: A non-systematic bibliographic review was carried out, with varied ad hoc searches for the different variables studied.

BACKGROUND: Cellular angiofibroma is a rare benign mesenchymal tumor that mostly occurs in the genital area. Its occurrence outside this region, particularly in the pelvis, is extremely rare. To our knowledge, this study reports the first case of cellular angiofibroma occurring in the pelvic cavity, except for one case reported in the retroperitoneum.
CASE PRESENTATION: A 25-year-old female patient with chronic, intermittent, dull pain in the lower abdomen that lasted for several months was referred to our clinic. Imaging studies revealed a tumor in the pelvic cavity anterior to the bladder.
