Smart sampling is a concept that combines a traditional microsampling, such as dried blood spot (DBS), with sample preparation initiated at the moment of sampling. In this paper, plasma separation and antibody-based affinity cleanup are integrated into a single 3D-printed sampling device. Our goal was to evaluate and validate the analytical performance of this device for LC-MS-based determination of hCG. Cleavage-stage embryo transfers are often the best option for patients with limited oocytes or low fertilization rates due to medical or financial constraints. RATIONALE: Currently, placenta accreta treatment mainly includes nonconservative surgical and conservative treatments such as Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). This report describes the case of a 37-year-old woman who suffered incomplete placenta accreta after vaginal delivery and was cured by TCM. TCM treatment of placenta accreta has its own unique advantages, including low toxicity and few side effects, unaffected breastfeeding, and retention of the uterus, which can ensure the expulsion of residual placenta and be beneficial to patients' physical and mental health.

BACKGROUND: Studies have commonly assessed the endocrinolgical status of women once miscarriage is threatened or suspected; few studies have explored the antecedent hormonal environment or used a longitudinal strategy. Using refined statistical techniques, we sought to re-evaluate whether gestational hormone trajectories in early pregnancy can identify future miscarriage in asymptomatic pregnancies.
METHODS: This prospective cohort study followed 105 women over-conception; 72 had normal term pregnancy outcomes while 33 experienced early pregnancy failure between 35 and 115 days of gestation.
