A patient with a diffuse histiocytic lymphoma developed an infection caused by Bacillus cereus during a period of induced granulocytopenia. A fulminant process resembling gas gangrene developed shortly after the accidental penetration by a small piece of metal into his right hand. Incision and drainage as well as antimicrobial therapy did not prevent the loss of the third, fourth and fifth fingers; however, localization and subsequent control of the infection was achieved concomitant with bone marrow recovery.

This report presents a case involving a woman aged >65 years who had been diagnosed with marginal zone lymphoma 3 years prior. The patient was hospitalized with enlarged inguinal lymph nodes, and pathological examination revealed that the lymphoma had transformed into diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. UNLABELLED: Primary large B-cell lymphoma of immune-privileged sites (IP-LBCL) is a rare malignant hematological neoplasm. Involvement of the cerebellum is even rarer and its diagnosis is often difficult to make due to its non-specific clinical and radiological presentation.

Primary central nervous system (CNS) lymphomas are relatively rare with the most common subtype being diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Primary CNS T-cell lymphomas (PCNSTL) account for <5% of CNS lymphomas. We report the clinical, morphologic, immunophenotypic, and molecular characteristics of 18 PCNSTLs.
