Ganglion cysts are benign soft tissue tumors that often occur adjacent to joints or tendons. We report a case of an elbow joint ganglion cyst in a patient who presented with a painful, progressive elbow contracture. The patient was successfully treated with resection of the subbrachialis ganglion cyst combined with an anterior capsular release and an ulnar nerve decompression to recover elbow motion. This case highlights the value of advanced imaging in patients presenting with an atraumatic, painful, and progressive elbow contracture.

INTRODUCTION: Ganglion cyst of the temporomandibular joint is a rare disease, which may arise from myxoid degeneration of the collagenous tissue of the temporomandibular joint capsule, without epithelial or endothelial lining. We report a case of cystic lesion in a 40-year-old female patient.
OBSERVATION: The patient had a left pre-auricular oval-shaped swelling without any articular symptoms. The pathological analysis after surgical removal allowed diagnosing the lesion as a ganglion cyst of the left temporomandibular joint.

BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to evaluate the suitability of the KINGVISION videolaryngoscope for tracheal intubation.
METHODS: Endotracheal intubation was performed using the KINGVISION in 50 patients undergoing general anesthesia. We compared the percentage of glottic opening score between Coopdech Videolaryngoscope Portable VLP100 and the KINGVISION with staff anesthesiologist and novice personnel. The time to complete instrumentation and optimizing procedures were also recorded.
RESULTS: The KINGVISION allowed visualization of the glottis and successful intubation in all patients

This is a review of the current status of clinical research on the prevention of posterior capsular opacification (PCO), which is now the commonest complication of cataract surgery occurring in up to 50% of patients by 2 to 3 years after the operation. PCO is caused by lens epithelial cells retained in the capsular bag following surgery which then proliferate, migrate and transform to myofibroblasts. The present work describes a quantitative thin layer procedure for estimating primidone, clorazepate dipotassium and chlorzoxazone in bulk powders and in dosage forms, each in the presence of its degradation product. The method consists of dissolving the drug in ethanol (for primidone), or methanol (for clorazepate dipotassium and chlorzoxazone) and then spotting this solution on a thin layer of silica gel G254. Quantitation is achieved by comparing the areas under the peaks obtained from scanning the thin layer chromatographic plates in a spectrodensitometer.

A new technique for studying the anatomy of the lens and other anterior chamber structures in human eyes obtained post mortem is described. An oblique or side view is achieved by creating a uveoscleral window. This provides a clear three-dimensional view of such structures as the crystalline lens, zonular apparatus, and ciliary body.
