AIM: To report a rare case of a left paraduodenal hernia presenting as volvulus of the small intestine associated to an intestinal malrotation.
CASE REPORT: A 2 months-old girl presented with history of bilious vomiting, sonography showed signs of volvulus and emergency laparotomy was performed and confirmed left paraduodenal hernia containing a part of the ileon, coecum with right colon and volvulus of the small intestine out of the hernia sac.

Tension faeco-pneumothorax is rare, typically occurring following strangulation of a diaphragmatic hernia. A 5-day-old hornless goat was referred with dysuria since birth. The scrotum was absent, and a small penis-like structure was seen below the perineal raphe. Malignant atrophic papulosis (MAP) is a rare disease with an extremely grim prognosis, death being due to gastrointestinal perforation and neurological disorders. Mesenteric lymphangiomas are rare abdominal masses that are seldom associated with small bowel volvulus, and especially in adult patients. We report here on an unusual case of small bowel volvulus that was induced by a mesenteric lymphangioma in a 43-year-old man who suffered from repeated bouts of abdominal pain. Lipoma and angiolipoma are common benign neoplasms that occur in the subcutaneous tissue and rarely in the gastrointestinal tract. Endometriosis is a common condition affecting the female genital tract, but involvement of the ileum is very rare. Its symptoms are vague and are similar to other benign and malignant disorders, and radiographic findings lack specificity. Nonaccidental trauma is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality in children. We describe a case of a child who presented with intraperitoneal bladder rupture after sustaining blunt abdominal trauma. As per confession, the injury was apparently the result of the child being forcibly pulled into her caretaker's knee while the child had a full bladder. The primigravid uterus is believed to be immune to rupture during labour. This may not be true for those who have had prior adenomyomectomy, hence this report. The patient was a 28-year-old nullipara who became pregnant 11 months after an adenomyomectomy. Twelve hours after vaginal delivery at term, she developed haemoperitoneum of unclear cause. In this report, we discuss a case of obscure gastrointestinal bleeding (OGIB) in an 18-year-old man, where oesophagogastroduodenoscopy (OGD) and colonoscopy proved inconclusive in determining a source of bleeding. Following a myomectomy, postoperative adhesions occur in many patients. Although laparoscopy has been shown to decrease the development of adhesions compared to laparotomy, adhesions still occur. A 67-year-old man presented with chest tightness and vomiting of one-week duration. On physical examination bowel sounds were heard on the left chest. We report our initial experience with a novel robotic-assisted dissection of the infrarenal aorta and iliac arteries for the treatment of aortoiliac occlusive disease and abdominal aortoiliac aneurysm. Seven patients underwent the procedure using the da Vinci Surgical System. CLINICAL PRESENTATION AND INTERVENTION: The patient presented with an abdominal mass, altered bowel habits, and increasing weight. The provisional diagnosis was made by barium enema and CT scan. The patient underwent laparotomy, revealing a perforated giant sigmoid diverticulum that was excised using Hartmann's procedure.
