BACKGROUND: The gravity of "second wave" of COVID-19 has effaced many new challenges in India; mucormycosis being a recent one. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a known significant risk factor for mucormycosis. Here, we present our experience with rhino-orbital-cerebral mucormycosis (ROCM) during the "second wave of COVID-19" at a tertiary health care centre in North India.
METHODS: This case series includes four cases of ROCM that were managed by our neurosurgical team in view ofcerebral involvement.
RESULTS: All the cases with an exception of one (Case 1), had a history of treatment for COVID-19

Orbital metastases from neuroendocrine tumour are rare entities. An incidental finding of orbital metastasis originating from neuroendocrine tumour is presented in the context of a comprehensive review of all case reports and series published to date. Demographics, clinical features, diagnostic work-up, treatment and prognostic data from the published literature are discussed. We report two fatal cases of rhino-orbital-cerebral mucormycosis associated with COVID-19 infection. Both patients had pre-existing diabetes mellitus type 2, were treated with corticosteroids, and developed ketoacidosis. Both patients rapidly declined owing to rapid extension of the infection into the intracranial cavity. PURPOSE: To review the current literature on the safety and efficacy of orbital radiation for the management of thyroid eye disease (TED).
METHODS: A literature search was conducted last in February 2021 of the PubMed database to identify all articles published in the English language on original research that assessed the effect of orbital radiation on TED. The search identified 55 articles, and 18 met the inclusion criteria for this assessment. A panel methodologist then assigned a level of evidence rating for each study, and all of them were rated level III.

A 10-year-old male presented to our institution 6 days after sustaining trauma to his right eye from a fall. A thorough physical examination could not be done due to severe eye pain and inability to open the eyelids; however, computed tomographic imaging done at this time showed a trapdoor fracture with incarceration of the inferior oblique and inferior rectus muscles. The fracture was reduced through a transconjunctival incision and secured with a polytetrafluoroethylene implant. Three months after the surgery, extraocular motility is almost full and equal.

The roaming chemical reaction mechanism involves near-dissociation of an energized molecule to radicals that leads instead to intramolecular reaction after reorientation at long range. Surprisingly, no clear quantum signatures of roaming have been observed to date, despite the quantum nature of the roaming event. Intracranial arachnoid cysts are extra-axial non-enhancing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) density lesions. These are usually incidental findings on radiological investigations.
