Report on 88 cases of sarcomas of the female genital organs. The sarcomas were confined to the uterine body in 72 cases. The prognosis of this disease depends primarily on the adequacy of the treatment. The treatment consists of as radical an operation as possible followed by external radiation and intra-vaginal application of radium. The microscopic type of the sarcoma of the uterus is of secondary importance. Patients who survived for 3 years following this treatment have a good prognosis for a 5 year or a 10 year cure. Other sarcomas of the female genital tract are mentioned.

The findings of 152 patients with proven primary hyperparathyroidism are reportedmthe purpose of the analysis was to find difference between the various clinical manifestations of the disease. In six patients with acute leukemia (about 2% of the patients referred for acute lymphoblastic leukemia) the blast cells invading bone marrow and blood showed all the cytologic, cytochemical, and electron microscopy features of Burkitt's tumor cells. In a population survey the corneal diameter (DC) was measured in 1,211 adult Greenland Eskimos from six districts. Using a Wessely keratometer, trnasversal and vertical readings were performed, and the CD value taken as the average. The unimodal distributions obtained were found to differ from normality. Skeletal development (appearance of secondary ossification centers) of Greyhounds, German Shepherds and their crossbreed offspring was studied. It was found that Greyhounds were more mature at birth than German Shepherds. Crossbreeds held an intermediate position. The placentas of 42 cases with rhesus sensitization were examined. The degree of severity of this disease was classified according to the typing of Liley. 1637 parathyroid gland dissections were performed on 589 unselected autopsy preparations in order to study both pathomorphology and functional aspects in an unselected group of patients. In no case had primary or tertiary hyperparathyroidism been suspected clinically; but in about 10 patients on chronic hemodialysis, a secondary hyperplasia of the glands was known. In about 33% of the cases pathological changes were observed: 3 chief cell adenomas, 3 adenomas combined with hyperplasia, 12 primary nodular hyperplasias including 6 microadenomas and 145 cases with secondary regulative hyperplasia
