OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of laryngotracheal reconstruction (LTR) in children with subglottic stenosis (SGS), and to discuss the indications and the risks of intraoperative and postoperative treatment of LTR.

A 5-year-old neutered female West Highland white terrier dog was presented with a history of congenital urinary incontinence that had become refractory to medical management. Complex urogenital anomalies including urethrovestibular and vestibuloperineal fistulae with low vulvar position along with a penoclitoris were present. BACKGROUND: The aim of this study is to introduce experiences of reconstruction of total degloving injuries of the foot in children.

Reconstruction of a distally ruptured extensor pollicis longus tendon in the rheumatoid patient generally involves a tendon transfer or intercalary graft. We present an alternative technique using the radial half of the extensor carpi radialis longus as a turn-over graft. Using the turn-over technique with a half-slip of the extensor carpi radialis longus avoids the traditional limitations of the extensor carpi radialis longus tendon in distal extensor pollicis longus tendon repairs and precludes the need for a free tendon graft.

Anterior disc displacement is one of the most frequent types of temporomandibular joint disorders. Various arthroscopic disc repositioning and suturing techniques were reported to treat patients with disc displacement in the 1990s, but the success rate and long-term stability was not satisfactory. This report describes a new repositioning and suturing technique and discusses its advantages and disadvantages.
