We identified 45 knees in 42 patients who had an isolated tibial insert exchange for a failed primary knee arthroplasty with a minimum of 2 years of follow-up. The mean age at revision was 68 years, and the mean time to revision was 80 months. We sought to summarize knee injuries (KI) in the U.S. Active Duty Army (ADA) in terms of absolute numbers, examine current rate trends, and identify ADA who were at increased risk for experiencing a KI. We used the Total Army Injury and Health Outcomes Database (TAIHOD) to compute unadjusted and adjusted rates of KI, categorized by the Barell Matrix, within the ADA for the years 2000-2005. Late presentation of congenital patellar dislocation with advanced osteoarthritis is rare. This article presents a case of a 59-year-old man with underlying pseudoachondroplastic dwarfism. Advanced osteoarthritis due to bilateral neglected congenital patellar dislocation was treated with total knee arthroplasty without patella relocation surgery. Two years later, the patient had an improvement in Knee Society scores, painless function, and stability.
