A patient with a persistent CD3 negative large granular lymphocyte (LGL) proliferation with immunophenotypic and functional characteristics of natural killer cells is described. Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma is a rare form of B-cell lymphoma which can potentially affect the stomach, spleen, salivary glands, skin, lungs, orbit, and, rarely, the thymus. Patients with Sjögren's syndrome (SjS) are at a 15-20 times increased risk of developing lymphoma compared to the general population.Here, we present a case of primary thymic MALT lymphoma and associated diffuse cystic lung disease, incidentally identified on routine chest imaging. Follicular lymphoma (FL) is an indolent lymphoma that transforms to high-grade lymphoma, mostly diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, in about a third of patients. In this review, we report the main advances of the last years in the four most common lymphomas in France, namely Hodgkin lymphoma, large cell diffuse B lymphoma, follicular lymphoma and mantle cell lymphoma. Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) represents a complex group of B- and T-cell malignancies characterised by chromosomal translocations. AIM: High-grade B-cell lymphomas with MYC and BCL2 and/or BCL6 rearrangements [double-hit lymphomas (DHL)] are aggressive lymphomas. Current literature recommends fluorescent in-situ hybridization analysis (FISH) in all cases of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) to identify cases of DHL. However, this approach is not feasible in a resource-limited setting. There is the substantial problem as how to exactly define the minimal requirements for the diagnosis of a marginal zone B cell lymphoma of MALT type in the stomach. Consequently, there is vigorous disagreement in the literature whether or not clonal B cell proliferation exists in chronic gastritis. This situation was the starting point of a retrospective multicenter study of German/Swiss lymph node registries. Flow cytometry (FC) has become the routine technique in the evaluation of hematopoietic neoplasms. Since the anterior mediastinum is a frequent site of involvement by both primary and secondary lymphoma/leukemia, flow cytometry plays an important role in the evaluation of mediastinal masses.
