BACKGROUND: Mucinous ovarian cancer raises problems of differential diagnoses because it is often difficult to distinguish the primary from the metastatic form. Most metastatic ovarian tumors originate from the gastrointestinal tract, mainly colorectal, gastric, pancreatic; the gallbladder is a very rare source of ovarian metastases.
CASE: We report a case of ovarian metastases from a gallbladder cancer, incidentally diagnosed more than 2.5 years earlier during a laparoscopic intervention for biliary lithiasis.
CONCLUSION: The interest of this case lies in the long progression-free survival,

BACKGROUND: Alopecia mucinosa has been shown to be associated with many benign and malignant conditions. It can be seen in childhood but is seen more commonly in adulthood. Alopecia mucinosa is generally felt to occur in three settings: a primary idiopathic form, a form associated with malignancy, and a form secondary to inflammatory conditions. The histologic hallmark is the accumulation of mucin in the follicular epithelium, called follicular mucinosis. Therapy for alopecia mucinosa remains problematic.

Two cases of primary adenocarcinoma of the renal pelvis are described. One patient was a 64-year-old female who had multiple papillary tumors in the right ureter and renal pelvis. Recurrent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a common complication, particularly in cancer patients. We present a case of a 50-year-old male with a history of a previous DVT. Despite therapeutic anticoagulation with apixaban, the patient developed recurrent DVT involving the common femoral, popliteal, and foreleg veins.
