Intussusception is a rare condition in adults, accounting for approximately 5% of all cases. STUDY DESIGN: In a prospective population-based cohort study in Norway, rates of predefined types of complications from 2751 cesarean deliveries were determined. Although complications of transseptosphenoidal (TSS) pituitary surgery have been discussed in the literature, there has not been an analysis of complication rates related to clinical features and the nature of the tumor. In this study single-port percutaneous laparoscopic gastropexy in dogs using barbed suture material in combination with ovariectomy is described. A single port preventive gastropexy was performed in 6 female German shepherds in combination with ovariectomy using a laparoscope. Gastrostomy tubes are frequently used to provide enteral access in a variety of patient populations. Long-term complications are usually minor and include ulceration of the surrounding skin, clogging or dislodgment of the feeding tube, and superficial abscess; severe long-term complications are rare. We describe an alternative fixation for the pure uncomminuted subtrochanteric fracture by using the AO tibial nail. There were no intraoperative complications in 24 fractures with this method.
