CONTEXT.—: The tumor-host interaction in the tumor microenvironment (TME) affects the prognosis of patients with malignant tumors. TME assessed via tumor budding (BD) and tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) had a prognostic impact in patients with nonampullary small intestinal and colorectal carcinomas. In ampullary carcinoma (AC), MUC5AC was recently revealed as a significant prognosticator, but studies about the TME have not been conducted.

AIMS: Mucin 4 (MUC4) is a transmembrane glycoprotein normally expressed by several human epithelial surfaces, including those of the colon, vagina, and respiratory tract. Although MUC4 overexpression is seen in various carcinomas, its expression among mesenchymal neoplasms is fairly specific to low-grade fibromyxoid sarcoma and sclerosing epithelioid fibrosarcoma. BACKGROUND: Lung injury is common in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients. The severity of lung injury appears to be reflected in serum Krebs von den Lungen-6 (KL-6), a glycoprotein expressed on type II alveolar epithelium. This study aims to assess the role of serum KL-6 in reflecting the severity of lung injury in COVID-19 patients.

RATIONALE: Colorectal cancer in children is rare, with delayed diagnosis and advanced stage at presentation in high mortality. Early detection of colorectal cancer is, therefore, important for better prognosis.
PATIENT CONCERNS: Thirteen-year-old boy presented with symptoms of melena, vomiting, and abdominal pain for 6 months. 18-year-old girl was hospitalized due to the symptoms of hematochezia, and persistent abdominal pain for 6 months. They have no chronic disease or familial history of malignancy.

The effect of coexisting pesticide on adsorption/desorption and mobility of another one was investigated with carbendazim (CBD), imidacloprid (IDP), and atrazine (ATR). We report an extremely rare case of spindle cell carcinoma of the sinonasal cavity. A 75-year-old man was admitted to our hospital because of right nasal obstruction. Nasal endoscopy showed a polypoid tumor measuring 3 × 3 cm at the nasal septum in the right nasal cavity, and an excisional biopsy was performed.
