Radiation-induced angiosarcoma(RIAS)of the breast is a rare malignant tumor occurring after breast-conserving therapy. We investigated the management of Actinomyces breast infection. Eight different Actinomyces species were isolated from 26 patients during the study period (December 2018-November 2021). All tested isolates were susceptible (at standard or high dose) to penicillin and 75 % to clindamycin. Twenty-three patients had a history of smoking. Three had coexisting breast cancer. Prescribers need to be educated about the lack of activity of metronidazole on Actinomyces.

BACKGROUND: Metastatic breast cancer originating in the gastrointestinal tract is a rare occurrence. The limited number of cases has resulted in incomplete understanding of the disease, making it challenging to differentiate from primary breast cancer. While clinical history and immunohistochemical studies can aid in distinguishing between the two, the management principles and pathogenesis of gastrointestinal metastatic breast cancer remain controversial. Intracystic papillary carcinoma breast is an uncommon breast cancer consisting of 0.5-1.0% of all breast cancers. Papillary carcinoma is further subdivided into intraductal and intracystic papillary carcinoma. Intracystic papillary carcinoma is further divided into pure intracystic papillary carcinoma or associated with in situ carcinoma. The clinical and radiological features of intracystic papillary carcinoma are not specific, hence a high chance of misdiagnosis. Here we report a case of intracystic papillary carcinoma of both breasts which created a diagnostic dilemma.

BACKGROUND: Malignant melanoma is a skin neoplasm that typically does not invade the breast, making its spread to the breast tissue in a male patient uncommon. When it metastasizes to the breast, it can present as a palpable mass or even be asymptomatic. Ultrasound allows for the detection of round hypoechoic lesions, while mammography detects well-defined nodules with increased density.
