BACKGROUND: Functional impairments related to Dupuytren's disease (DD) can be assessed using patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). A systematic review was published in 2013 on outcome measures for assessing treatment in individuals with DD; however, several articles have since been published on this matter.
PURPOSE: To conduct a systematic review to analyze the quality and content of the evidence on the psychometric properties of PROMs used in individuals with DD.

Clinicians struggle with limited efficacy and durability of standard treatments when treating patients with Dupuytren disease diathesis. Alternative treatments such as low-dose radiation therapy in early phase of disease, supplemental pharmacotherapy with anti-inflammatory and/or anti-mitotic drugs, as well as other pharmacologic targets, and more aggressive surgery such as dermofasciectomy all have been reported with variable success or with serious side effects that hamper their standard use. This article gives an overview of the available literature.

Needle aponeurotomy (NA) is recommended as a nonsurgical treatment for Dupuytren's disease. The aim of the procedure is to cut the Dupuytren's cord by use of the bevel of a needle and to restore full extension of the metacarpophalageal or proximal interphalangeal joints. According to Lermusiaux's standard, NA is performed in an outpatient setting, with the patient under local anesthesia. It entails the use of a 25-gauge, 16 mm-long needle and an anesthetic mixture of lidocaine and acetate of prednisolone. Various modifications have been proposed since the description of Lermusiaux's standard.

The authors present the case of a young man with arthrogryphosis multiplex congenita and an above knee amputation who underwent an ipsilateral total hip replacement. They have been suffering from recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa with recurrent cutaneous blister formation either spontaneously or due to minor trauma. Surgeries were performed to release and widen the first web space. Full thickness skin graft which was used to cover the resulting raw surface appears stable as normal skin to them. PURPOSE: To determine the 1st ray mobility following a distal soft-tissue procedure with proximal osteotomy (DSTP-PMO) and any associated factors.
METHODS: A retrospective study of 30 men (35 feet) was performed. First ray mobility, ankle dorsiflexion, pes planus, and metatarsus adductus were evaluated at the final follow-up. All internal fixation was routinely removed at six to eight weeks postoperatively. Standard radiographs were evaluated and angular measurements were calculated on all feet.

BACKGROUND: Dupuytren's contracture or disease (DD) is a fibro-proliferative disease of the hand that results in the development of scar-like, collagen-rich disease cords within specific palmar fascia bands. Although the molecular pathology of DD is unknown, recent evidence suggests that beta-catenin may play a role.
