Tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) is an emerging viral zoonosis and is endemic from Japan, China, Mongolia and Russia, to Central Europe and France. There is no specific treatment and TBE can be fatal. The four licensed prophylactic vaccines are produced according to WHO manufacturing requirements. In a retrospective epidemiologic study conducted from January 1996 to December 2002, 2555 low-birth-weight infants (less than 2500 g) were admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit of E Herriot Hospital in Lyon, France. OBJECTIVE: To study the outcome of multifetal pregnancy embryo reductions (MFPR) in France.
STUDY DESIGN: A retrospective questionnaire multicenter survey was conducted in 11 French centers. 262 consecutive MFPR were collected. Miscarriage and prematurity rates were analyzed as a function of the starting number of embryos, the finishing number after MFPR, and the technique of MFPR.

The effect of daily treatments with Ginkgo biloba extract (EGb 761, IPSEN, France) on body weight and water intake of rats was followed for 15 days.
