For this program, we designed and delivered a 15-week, student-led health education intervention using Persuasive Hope Theory (PHT) with a diverse sample of older adults in urban Alaska to increase feelings of hope and improve health. This mixed-methods investigation into the intervention's efficacy utilized dependent sample t-tests to demonstrate that the number of servings of fruit and vegetables increased significantly after the program. Friendships are critical social alliances, and how people perceive their friends' psychological characteristics influences their maintenance and stability. In this study, I examined judgments of friends' cynicism (i.e., mistrust and antagonism toward others and perceptions of self-interest) using data from 173 friend dyads (N = 346). In this study, OPC-slag cement, which partially replaced ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBFS), was immersed in seawater at three temperatures and the self-healing effect was evaluated through ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) measurement. This study tested the complex relationship among the perceived benefit from and cost of condom use, self-efficacy and condom use among adolescents as a nonlinear dynamic process. Participants were 12th graders in public Bahamian high schools who reported having had sex and frequency of condom use. Clinical application of the standardized "scratch and sniff" olfactory test in Japanese is described. Over 300 subjects participated in three experiments.
