Pectus excavatum is a depression of the sternum and costal cartilages which may present at birth, or more commonly during the teenage growth spurt. Symptoms of lack of endurance, shortness of breath with exercise, or chest pain are frequent. Although pectus excavatum may be a component of some uncommon syndromes, patients usually are healthy. OBJECTIVE: To practice a more atraumatic, physiological and aesthetically valued approach of construction for neovagina.
METHODS: Laparoscopically using peritoneum as neovagina lining.
RESULTS: From March 2005 to September 2006, this technique was adopted to treat 10 patients whose diagnosis was congenital absence of vagina. The ages of the patients were from 19 to 32. The operation lasted average 2.34 hours. And hospitalization was about 20.5 days. Follow-up ranged from 3 - 12 months. No complication occurred. All of the patients was satisfied with their sexual life.

Radial collateral ligament (RCL) injuries of the thumb are relatively common although they are less common than ulnar collateral ligament injuries, which make up 10% to 42% of collateral ligament injuries of the thumb. BACKGROUND: We undertook this study to describe three cases of reconstruction of the floor of the mouth with two simultaneous free flaps.

Talar neck fractures are interesting fractures that require careful ORIF if the patient factors allow. The long-term sequelae of these fractures can be severe regardless of the quality of the reconstruction. Posttraumatic arthritis and avascular necrosis are devastating complications that are unfortunately common. Malunion and nonunion of talar neck fractures need to be evaluated carefully with attention to adjacent joints. A full workup is needed to fully evaluate the patient and fracture factors. OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinic features of the sulcus vocalis in children.
METHOD: From Jan 1995 to April 2005,56 cases of pediatric sulcus vocalis were found by video-laryngoscopy. All received an operation called sulcus vocalis microdissection and vocal cord plasty with four steps: an incision along the superolateral edge of the sulcus; freeing of the mucosa adhering to the vocal ligament; detachment of the ligamentous fibers; redraping of the mucosa.
