An ulcer was induced in the anterior wall of the antrum of cats by local injection of acetic acid solution. Carbonized microspheres, 15 +/- microns in diameter, labelled with 141Ce, 46Sc, and 85Sr, were used to measure blood flow in different regions and layers of the stomach wall. The radioactivity of a blood reference sample and of tissue samples was determined, and the blood flow was calculated for each tissue sample. A new gas-liquid chromatographic method was developed for the determination of diethylether in whole blood. Ether was quantitated by peak area ratio analysis with n-propanol as the internal standard using a flame ionization detector. In this second series of studies on dirofilariasis in primates, 13 macaques were inoculated with infective larvae of Dirofilaria repens and were killed 2 weeks to 11 months postinoculation. Two of these animals were treated with prednisolone (as an immunosuppressant) daily beginning at 2 months of infection. In this study, 269 fecal specimens were sampled from domestic cats displaying symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals in Daklak and Gialai provinces in Central Vietnam during July 2023 to July 2025. The polymerase chain reaction method was applied to determine the feline parvovirus DNA in the obtained samples. This study aimed to investigate the epidemiological and genetic characterization of FKoV in domestic cats in northern Vietnam from 2022 to 2025.
