DESIGN: Retrospective interventional case series.
METHODS: Setting: The New York Eye Cancer Center.
STUDY POPULATION: Fifty-two consecutive patients with uveal melanomas near, touching, or surrounding the optic disc.
INTERVENTION: Slotted eye plaque radiation therapy.
MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Change in visual acuity, local tumor control, radiation side effects, eye salvage, and systemic metastases.

PURPOSE: The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between the duration of myopic choroidal neovascularization (CNV) and treatment outcome after anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) injections.
METHODS: We performed a retrospective review of treatment-naïve myopic CNV patients who were treated with anti-VEGF and followed for at least 24 months to identify factors predicting final outcome and recurrence.

PURPOSE: Serous subfoveal detachment has been described in the literature as a complication that appears at the border of the staphyloma. Macular buckling induces a postoperative inward bulge that resembles the ridge of a staphyloma. We describe three patients who developed a serous subfoveal detachment after uneventful macular buckling. To our knowledge, this complication, that shares similarities with the staphyloma ridge detachment, has not been previously reported.

His left eye was blind due to retinal pigment epithelium detachment since 1997 with atrophy of the neurosensory retina.
