We have evaluated the effects of combinations of various cytokines on the reconstitution of natural killer (NK) cell activity and resistance to metastases from B16 melanoma, in lethally irradiated mice transplanted with syngeneic bone marrow. Respiratory viral infections during pregnancy threaten maternal pulmonary health and fetal development, however the mechanisms linking lung infection to distant uterine immune disruption remain unclear. Lifetime history of suicide attempts is associated with inflammatory mechanisms, severity of depressive symptoms, and childhood trauma. BACKGROUND: The effect of plasmapheresis on cytokine levels in patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) has not been well established.
