The lymphoproliferative processes that developed in five renal transplant recipients were studied in an attempt to characterize and classify them morphologically. Nine surgical specimens, hematological material on all patients, and autopsy specimens from three patients were available. To diagnose and classify the various entities of lymphomas, the World Health Organisation (WHO) classification is applied in human as well as in veterinary medicine. We validated the concordance of these classification systems by having a veterinary and human pathologist evaluate gastrointestinal lymphoma tissue from 61 cats. Chromosomal abnormalities of intravascular large B-cell lymphoma (IVLBCL), a rare form of extranodal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, have been described in only a small number of cases. Follicular lymphoma (FL) is an indolent B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma able to transform into germinal center-type diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Many reports have described the presence of alopecia areata (AA) associated with other autoimmune diseases, which support the autoimmune nature of AA. Additionally, AA has been reported in association with malignancy as a paraneoplastic symptom. In this report, we describe three patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, alveolar soft part sarcoma, and cavernous sinus arteriovenous fistula with embolization treatment, respectively, who characteristically presented with rectangular-patterned occipital AA.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the efficacy and safety of haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (Haplo- HSCT) for refractory, relapsed or highly aggressive non- Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) patients.
METHODS: A total of 26 patients with refractory, relapsed or highly aggressive NHL who received Haplo- HSCT from Jan. 2004 to Mar. 2015 were analyzed retrospectively.
