A 15-month-old female child presented with progressive right-sided facial swelling, nasal obstruction, and deviation of the nose to the left. Computed tomography revealed a cystic mass in the maxillary sinus with disruption of the medial orbital floor. Incisional biopsy of this mass was nondiagnostic and the mass continued to grow rapidly. The mass was removed by excisional biopsy and curettage with conservative margins via combined lateral rhinotomy and sublabial approaches. Treatment of a woman suffering from oligodontia and multiple diastemata with insufficient alveolar ridges in both the maxilla and mandible is described in this clinical report. The total number of missing teeth was 11 (excluding the wisdom teeth). The treatment strategy consisted of an interdisciplinary team approach of orthodontic, surgical, and prosthodontic phases. Sinus floor augmentation, alveolar ridge augmentation via vertical alveolar distraction, and lateral augmentation with ramus graft procedures were performed after fixed orthodontic treatment and prior to dental implant placement.

The aim of this study was to describe the endoscopic medial maxillectomy technique with preservation of the inferior turbinate in patients affected by maxillary sinonasal inverted papilloma. We retrospectively reviewed the clinical charts and surgical technique in six patients with paranasal sinus inverted papilloma. There were five males and one female, whose mean age at diagnosis was 60 years ranging between 57 and 65 years. No recurrences were diagnosed, and no nasal crusting was evidenced postoperatively. Nasal breathing was satisfying in all cases. Postoperative epistaxis was not observed

Background. The sinonasal tract is the second most common site of human papillomavirus (HPV)-related carcinomas in the head and neck. Published data on the association between sinonasal tumors and HPV are quite inconsistent among different regions. Material and methods. We performed high-risk HPV DNA in situ hybridization (ISH) and p16 immunohistochemistry on sinonasal carcinomas diagnosed between 2006 and 2016. Results.
