Between 1974 and 1991, 621 patients with endometrial cancer were treated with hysterectomy without any preoperative treatment. Subsequent pathological examinations revealed that 92 cases had no myometrial invasion. Clinicopathological analysis was carried out in the 92 patients. The results are as follows: 1. Complete surgery was carried out in all cases except one case with intraperitoneal dissemination. The relapse rate in the 91 cases was 2.2% (2/91). Chemotherapy, in addition to surgery, irradiation, cryothermy and light coagulation has been used in three groups of patients with retinoblastoma. Ultrasonography was used to examine 81 children with intra-abdominal or retroperitoneal malignancies for tumor extension into the inferior vena cava (IVC). Clinical and necropsy records for nine dogs with tumors of the choroid plexus were reviewed. In seven of the dogs, the tumors were on the left side of the fourth ventricle. All of the dogs were males, ranging in age from 13 months to 9 years. Upper motor neuron tetraparesis and positional nystagmus were the most common neurologic signs. Less frequently recorded were head tilt, vomiting, bradycardia, and signs of cranial nerve dysfunction. Alteration in consciousness was evident in four of the dogs and ranged from personality changes to coma.

A histopathological study of 703 surgical specimens from patients with adenocarcinoma of the rectum revealed invasion of veins by primary growth in almost 52 per cent. Protein pattern was studied using discontinuous polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in 53 adenocarcinomas, 13 fibroadenomas and 66 samples of mammary tissue adjacent to neoplasias. Radical removal of the neoplasm involved a right pneumonectomy and resection of the S.V.C. The authors assess the efficacy of CT of the pancreas in a series of 151 patients with suspected pancreatic carcinoma. CT diagnoses were divided into four categories based on the original interpretation: "mass" or carcinoma (53 scans); normal pancreas (68 scans); normal pancreas, but another pathologic process was discovered on the CT scan (20 scans); and unsatisfactory or indeterminate examinations (10 scans).
