The invasiveness and proliferation of GBM cells can be decreased through the inhibition of Wnt/β-catenin pathway. BACKGROUND: Myocardial infarction (MI) triggers a strong inflammatory response that is associated with myocardial fibrosis and cardiac remodeling. Interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-18 are key players in this response and are controlled by NLRP3-inflammatory bodies. Oridonin is a newly reported NLRP3 inhibitor with strong anti-inflammatory activity. Patients with a germline mutation in von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) develop renal cell cancers and hypervascular tumors of the brain, adrenal glands, and pancreas as well as erythrocytosis. The present study was designed to characterize the pharmacological profile of CS-3150, a novel non-steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist.
